Returned to Meihoo as I have been searching for the ever elusive celery (Boston) style egg rolls now that China Star is out of business.
The inside was clean, however a tad outdated and could use some new wallpaper and ceiling tiles.
The egg rolls are half celery and half cabbage, (see pics) and had really nice flavor. A good amount of seasoned ground pork inside.
Outside crispy. 2 egg rolls were $4.75 plus 9% meals tax. -

Surprisingly got worse. I believe it is under new ownership now. Judging by the taste I suspect they reuse their oil for the entire day. Everything has a burnt oil taste.
Chicken fingers are burnt tasting (but golden brown, which is why I suspect the oil) and chicken is hard and rubbery. The outside is very hard and greasy and tastes overwhelmingly like burnt oil.
Consistency is awful, the only thing is consistent is the burnt oil taste. -

Cleanest Chinese restaurant I've ever seen
The tables weren't sticky like other places
High chair had no dust!??!?!? Unbelievable
Smelled a bit like Clorox but that's ok it's clean
Windows not so clean but tables and chairs
Food was also cleaner Chinese take out not greasy -

Meh. We got take-out tonight to give this place a try. We generally drive 20+ miles to get great Chinese Food but were not up for it tonight. It was just okay. Not awful, but we didn't enjoy it enough to order from there again. The chicken finger batter tasted like they were fried in old grease. The chicken teriyaki was very good, and tender. The beef teriyaki was overcooked and tough. My dinner combination contained beef mushroom chow yoke, and I couldn't eat it because it was much too salty. The pork fried rice was decent, but nothing special. Our egg foo yong was okay but the gravy was so salty it ruined it!
If I am going to spend $40+ dollars I want to enjoy my dinner and my leftovers. We are disappointed and I am bummed that I didn't read the reviews before ordering from here. -

The man at the counter couldn't understand what I was saying .I was speaking English and it took about 10 min to order.
